(847) 486-4295
Andrew Wetmore grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Central Bucks High School - West in 2008, where he was a two year varsity baseball player. He also proudly represented the American Legion Post 210 baseball program from 2007 through 2009, becoming the only two-time recipient of the Marilyn Wright Scholarship Award in program history. Choosing education over athletics, Andrew graduated from Penn State University in 2012 with a B.A. in History.
Upon graduation, Andrew moved to Chicago to pursue a teaching career as a health & PE teacher at Pritzker College Prep and obtained an M.A. in Teaching from North Park University. During his ten years at Pritzker, Andrew coached boys' basketball for three years and baseball for all ten years, the final nine as the head coach. In 2015, the Pritzker Jaguars won the Noble Athletic Conference baseball championship. In the summer of 2017, Andrew was tasked with overseeing the Noble Athletic Conference's entrance into the Chicago Cubs RBI league, which provides baseball and softball athletes with opportunities to play over the summer and fall, free of charge. Starting with his volunteering with Cubs RBI, Andrew fostered a partnership with Chicago Cubs Charities, which culminated in a multiyear capital improvements grant proposal and subsequent project that to date has invested over $230,000 into the Hermosa Park baseball and softball fields. He still continues to partner with Chicago Cubs Charities to this day.
For the 2023-24 school year, Andrew transitioned out of Chicago to Glenbrook South, teaching Health and PE and holding endorsements in Driver Ed and History. He was the frosh/soph softball coach for the 2024 season before transitioning to baseball for the 2025 season.
