Varsity Pitching Coach
Travis is in his first year as the head baseball coach at Glenbrook South. He has been in the program as the pitching coach since 2014 and started at GBS as a School Counselor in 2012 and is now the Student Services Coordinator. A 2003 graduate of Lake Forest High School, Travis was a three sport athlete in baseball, football, and basketball. He then went on to earn his undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in coaching at Illinois Wesleyan University. At IWU he was a 4 year letter winner for the Titan baseball team as a pitcher, making the NCAA Regionals 3 times. Over his career with the Titans, Travis finished with the school record for most career appearances, single-season appearances and 3rd in career saves.
While earning his M.S. in Counseling at Eastern Illinois University, he coached the freshman baseball team at Effingham High School for two years. Starting in 2009, Travis spent the next three years at Sterling High School where he coached all three levels in three years, finishing his tenure as the pitching coach, while also coaching football. Travis currently is also the defensive coordinator for the Titan football program.
Travis, his wife, Bailee, 1 year old Son, TC (Thomas Chance), and their miniature Australian shepherds, Scout and Shane live in Vernon Hills.
